Southern Hills Church “Back to the Building” Plan Here are the safety measures we are putting in place for the two in-person worship services: 8:30am Traditional 10:30am Contemporary SOCIAL DISTANCING Sanctuary is at 50% seating capacity Chairs are grouped in clusters for family seating and clusters are 6 feet apart Chairs in the front have been removed to maintain social distancing from the pastor and worship team CONTACT FREE SERVICES All greeting will be contact free We will not have a greeting time during the service or pass the offering Hymnals and physical Bibles have been removed from the sanctuary; you are encouraged to use a Bible app on your phone There will be no printed bulletins in the services Communion, when offered, will be pre-packaged Shared children’s bags will not be available, but you are encouraged to bring quiet activities for your child(ren) to enjoy in church if needed MASKS Masks are expected up entering, exiting, and moving about the building. Masks are also expected when singing. Those attending church are encouraged to bring their own masks, but masks will be available. SANCTUARY Doors and windows would be open whenever possible for outside air flow Offering baskets would be available in the back of the church Doors to the sanctuary, bathrooms, and where applicable would be left open to avoid Hand sanitizer would be available inside of the sanctuary Worship services will be approximately 45 minutes to allow for proper cleaning in between services NARTHEX No food or drinks will be provided before or after worship services Would be primarily used for traffic flow, we would encourage people to keep moving and take any socializing outside Hand sanitizer stations will be set up as you walk in the doors BATHROOMS Bathrooms countertops will be wiped down in between services Outer doors will be propped open to help create a no contact environment The drinking fountain will not be available for use at this time. SUNDAY SCHOOL There will be no in-person Sunday School at this time. YOUTH GROUP Will meet in-person in a socially distant way on Wednesdays at 7pm. Youth Leaders will use the same safety protocols as the church will be using for Sunday morning services. NURSERY There will not be nursery at this time OFFICE Access to the office should be limited for the safety of those that work in the office during the week Surfaces used on Sunday (light switches, door handles, areas used for money counting) should be wiped down after use “SAFETY TEAM” (Greeters and Ushers with enhanced rolls) Anyone serving on the Safety Team will go through a screening of COVID-19 specific health symptoms and a temperature checks on-site Wipe down bathroom surfaces with disinfectant wipes in between services Mark down individuals attending each service on a clipboard with pre-printed names so we can have names for contract tracing if need be. Would dismiss congregation by row after the service to help control social distancing as people exit All members of the team will wear masks If you are not comfortable returning to in-person, online worship is always available.
