Is there a nursery available? Normally, yes. During Covid, our nursery services were suspended. However, we are working on re-establishing volunteers to open the nursery once again. If you are 14 or older and are interested in volunteering, please contact the office at 605-371-2065. When are your Sunday worship services? We have two in-person worship services on Sunday: 8:30am - Traditional and 10:30am - Contemporary. There is also a online service at the same times. Also available through the YouTube Archive. What are your office hours? Monday-Thursday 8 am- 2 pm Do you have Sunday School? Yes. It begins at 9:30 AM. (During the school year.) Unless otherwise posted on our calendar. Do you have a youth group? Yes. Our youth group for 6-12 grade, Youth on Fire meets on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30-8:00 p.m. More info here. Are there classes/activities for adults? Yes. We offer a variety of Bible studies and opportunities throughout the year. We have partnered with Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota and they provide Christian day care and programming for infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers as well as an after-school and summer care programs for school-aged children through grade 5, Monday through Friday. Open gym is available on a first come first served basis. For weekend reservation please contact the church office Monday thru Thursday 8am – 2:00pm at 605-371-2065. For Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday reservations please contact Lutheran Social Services office Monday thru Friday 8am - 5pm at 605-371-8770. Do you perform weddings? Southern Hills enjoys sharing the Good News of Jesus’ birth through a Living Nativity with live animals and people portraying Mary, Joseph, the Wise Men and shepherds, and angels. Games and activities are often held inside. It is held the first Saturday of the month. Check the website for the date scheduled this year! We would love to see you!
